On the taxonomy of the genus Miltochrista Hübner with descriptions of five new species from India and China and notes on the genus Arctelene Kirti & Gill (Lepidoptera: Erebidae: Arctiinae: Lithosiini)

The taxonomy of certain taxa the genus Miltochrista Hübner, [1819] and Arctelene Kirti & Gill, 2008 is revised. Five new species are described: miraculosa sp. n. (South India), hogani monoklina kerala taragmena (China: Yunnan). Four revived from synonymy upgraded to level: ochracea (Hampson, 1891), stat. n., obliqua curvifascia aurora Two combinations three synonyms proposed: arcuata (Moore, 1882), comb. rubricosa 1878), 1891) = Lyclene fuscalis Hampson, 1891, syn. rosea 1878) uncodes 2008, Lectotypes designated for Asura inconspicua Moore, 1878, 1882, 1878. Adults, male female genitalia all considered illustrated.
